Hello friends, I have recently found about the difference between a customer and user. In this blog, I will be writing about the same. So, what really is the difference between a customer and user?
A Customer is a person who buys a product whereas a User is a person who uses a product. But, in some cases your customers and users may be the same. All of that depends on the market of your product.
In General sense, most of the times, your customer is the person who spends money and buys your product. Your customer may buy your product and resell it to someone else. And, it is not needed for your customer to be a single person, it may also be an organization.
Now, talking about Users. A User of your product is the person who will actually be using your product. The user may or may not spend money on your product. In most of the cases, the users are the people who will use your product with just a motive of using it but customers will buy your product either to resell it or to use it.
Depending on the situation and market, the customer and user may be the same person or different. For example: You make games for "children" then generally the parents are your customers but the kids will be using your product so the kids are your users. If you buy yourself a laptop, then you yourself are both the customer and user.
So, why is this important? This is important because when you're selling a product, in most of the cases, you will need to show value to customers than the actual users as the customers are the ones who will be spending their money on your product.
This is all for today's blog. Thank you for reading and,
Keep calm and build! ๐
